A graduate of both the UCLA School of Cinema and the Hofstra School of Law, Matt Cooper combined his passions for business and film in 1994 when he founded the Los Angeles-based production company The Vault, Inc. The Vault has produced numerous films, including: “The Last Supper,” which has achieved cult status and boasts an all-star cast including Cameron Diaz, Bill Paxton, Ron Perlman, Charles Durning, and Mark Harmon; “Panic,” the critically-acclaimed drama starring William H. Macy, Donald Sutherland, Tracy Ullman and Neve Campbell; “Campfire Tales,” a horror film starring Ron Livingston, James Marsden, Christine Taylor and Amy Smart; and “Perfect Opposites,” a romantic comedy, which Cooper wrote, directed and co-produced, starring Piper Perabo, Aaron Paul, Jennifer Tilly, Martin Henderson, Artie Lange and Joe Pantoliano.
Most recently, Matt completed the comedic feature film, “Is That a Gun in Your Pocket…?” which he wrote, directed and co-produced. The film stars Andrea Anders, Matt Passmore, Horatio Sanz, John Michael Higgins, John Heard, Lauren Bowles, Cloris Leachman and Katherine McNamara.
Matt is also a co-owner of three post-production companies: Lightning Media, Runway Editorial and The Post Group (a production space rental company). His philanthropic pursuits include active involvement in the “I Have a Dream Foundation” and “A Place Called Home,” both benefiting inner-city school children.
Lori Miller | Producer
Lori Miller has produced several independent features with her long-time collaborator Matt Cooper through their production company, The Vault, Inc. In addition to "Is That A Gun In Your Pocket?…" these titles include: "Panic" (starring William H. Macy, Donald Sutherland and Neve Campbell), "The Last Supper" (starring Cameron Diaz and Elizabeth Moss), "Perfect Opposites" (Piper Perabo and Artie Lange), and "Campfire Tales" (James Marsden, Christine Taylor, and Jacinda Barrett). She has also produced several award-winning documentaries including "They Came to Play," "Shakespeare High", and "Virtuosity."
David Cooper | Executive Producer
Not only is David Cooper a licensed physician in New York, he is currently CEO and Chairman of ProHEALTH Medical Management, LLC, the largest private multi-specialty practice in New York State. Back on the “other” coast, as a partner in The Vault, the Los Angeles based production company, Cooper has executive produced several films as well as spearheading their distribution including "The Last Supper; Campfire Tales; Panic; Perfect Opposites; and Is That a Gun in Your Pocket?..."
In addition, Cooper co-owns several high profile post-production companies including The Post Group, Lightning Media, Runway Edit, and eHealth TV Networks, all based in Los Angeles. Cooper is also an owner and Executive Producer of "Shushybye," children's TV show that helps parents and children cope with sleep issues. Shushybye can be seen on the cable station BabyFirst TV (BFTV), of which Cooper is a significant shareholder. Cooper also has a joint venture with BFTV and Phoenix Pictures bringing their MyFirstMovies franchise for toddlers onto the big screen.
Armando Salas | Cinematographer
Cuban-American cinematographer Armando Salas is based in Los Angeles and has shot features and commercials all over the world, including Los Angeles, Louisiana, Miami, Hong Kong, Singapore and China. He is the recipient of the Jacob K. Javits Fellowship in film and winner of the A.S.C. Robert Surtees Heritage Award for Outstanding Cinematography. Franco Carbone | Production Designer
Franco Has designed over 28 feature films covering almost every genre from comedy (‘One for the Money’ starring Katherine Heigel) to science fiction (‘Starship troopers II’). Among his most notable credits is his collaboration on action films with Academy Award winner Sylvester Stallone (‘Rocky Balboa’, ‘Rambo’ and ‘The Expendables’). He later went on to design ‘The Last Stand’ starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. His earlier collaboration with Eli Roth (‘Hostel’ and ‘Cabin Fever’) took him into the horror genre, which lead to his films with legendary film director and academy award winner William Friedkin for whom he designed two intense psychodramas ‘Bug’ and ‘Killer Joe’. Franco also received terrific reviews on the all star cast crime drama ‘Wonderland’ directed by James Cox and crime drama ‘The Call’ starring Halle Berry, directed by Brad Anderson. Most recently he has just finished production on the LA Noir drama “The Billionaire Boys Club” starring Kevin Spacey.
Franco is also professor at his Alma Mater, the American Film Institute of Film and Television where he completed his MFA.
Luis Colina | Editor
Luis Colina born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela. Became a Civil Engineer in 1979 but decided to become a filmmaker. He received a Venezuelan Scholarship and came to the San Francisco, CA on 1980 where he obtained an AA in Sound
Recording from San Francisco College for Recording Arts in 1981, and in 1983 the MFA at the San Francisco Art Institute, later he started in the film industry as an apprentice editor on such critically acclaimed films as AMADEUS, BLUE VELVET and THE RIGHT STUFF.
His talent was quickly recognized and he was soon thereafter working as an assistant picture editor and sound editor on such films as THE MOSQUITO COAST, WILLOW, UNBEARABLE LIGHTNESS OF BEING, DEAD POETS SOCIETY , THE GODFATHER:PART III, MAVERICK and THE SCARLET LETTER.
Since his apprentice and assistant days with mentors like Walter Murch and Thom Noble, Colina has graduated to editing.
He has completed more than 48 features, in the past 32 years including THE HUDSUCKER PROXY, TRIAL BY JURY, THE COLOR OF NIGHT and THE LAST SUPPER, THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD, ANOTHER DAY IN PARADISE, PASSIONADA, DIRTY DANCING HAVANA NIGHTS and IS THAT A GUN IN YOUR POCKET.
Several documentaries, in 2008, Luis edited and produced the Academy Award Nominated Documentary Short, LA CORONA, More than 15 Television features and series, among them, the acclaimed Peabody Winner, Betty Kaplan’s ‘ALMOST A WOMAN’, Salma Hayeck’s ‘THE MALDONADO MIRACLE’ as well as, the HBO TV Series, ENTOURAGE, HIT THE FLOOR, AWKWARD, STITCHERS and NARCOS.
Luis has also acted in THE BIG LEBOWSKI and PASSIONADA, as well as producer in 11 films like, feature documentary, DUDAMEL: LET THE CHILDREN PLAY, features JOLENE, DEAD SIMPLE AND BLUES FOR WILLADEAN.
Michele Michel | Costume Designer
Michele Michel was born and raised in the silver city of Taxco Mexico, and learned hercraft by her grandmother fashion designer Tachi Castillo. Michele is based in Los Angeles California where she has worked on the silver screen as a costume designer for over 20 years. Initially a fashion designer, Michele graduated from the prestigious ‘Istituto Europeo de Design’ in Rome, Italy, and worked as a senior fashion designer, creating clothing and accessories collections. In 1989 Michele crossed over to film at Cinecitta Studios while working as a set costumer in Francis Ford Coppola’s, “The God Father III”.
Michele recently designed the costumes for Is That a Gun in Your Pocket directed by Prior to that Michele designed the History Channel, Television series “Texas Rising” directed by Roland Joffe, starring Bill Paxton, Brendan Frazer, Ray Liotta and Cynthia Michele’s ability to fulfill a director’s vision has built a long list of costume design credits

Jacob Mosler’s vast producing experience includes films, festivals and all media. Mosler’s 16 feature film credits include IS THAT A GUN IN YOUR POCKET..?, WHAT’S THE POINT?, 7 MINUTES, EDEN, ANSWERS TO NOTHING, THE DETAILS and the award-winning MEAN CREEK, which premiered at Sundance and the Cannes film festivals winning the 2004 Sundance Humanitas Award and two Independent Spirit Awards.
Mosler graduated from the American Film Institute in 2000 with an MFA in Producing, and has produced more than 30 short films, music videos, commercials, and documentaries including the Sundance “Official Entry” MIND OVER MATTER. Jacob also produced the two-time Telly award-winning PSA, Peace in 5 Years.
Mosler is a member of the Directors Guild of America (UPM), an independent producer of film and television and is Founder/CEO of FilmBudgetPro.com, a consulting firm that creates detailed budgets and financial plans for film, festivals, and all media.
Tom Howe | Music Composer
Tom Howe is an award winning composer from the UK. He is well known for having scored countless Emmy and BAFTA winning dramas and documentaries, such as The Liquid Bomb Plot, Autopsy, The Vatican Saints and Finding Jesus. His career in Hollywood began by contributing additional music to several major motion pictures such as Exodus: Gods and Kings and Disney’s Monkey Kingdom. Tom has recently completed work on films, Lost and Found and Is That A Gun In Your Pocket. He is also additional composer on the new Warner Bros. movie The Legend Of Tarzan and is currently completing work on Charming from the producers of Shrek.
As a multi instrumentalist Tom has worked across a wide range of genres embracing everything from large scale orchestra work to electronic sound design.
Gary Calamar| Music Supervisor
Gary Calamar, president of Go Music, is a five time Grammy-nominated producer and music supervisor who has overseen the music on some of the most acclaimed and popular shows on television including “True Blood”, “Six Feet Under”, “Dexter”, “Entourage”, "Weeds" and "House”. Gary’s current projects include “The Man In The High Castle” (Amazon) , “Good Girls Revolt” (Amazon), “Wayward Pines” (Fox), “Killing Reagan” (National Geographic) and the indie film “Carrie Pilby”. Gary is also a songwriter and co-wrote the song “Let’s Boot and Rally” performed by Iggy Pop and Bethany Cosentino for True Blood. Ronnie Yeskel | Casting Director
Ronnie Yeskel began her career in the entertainment industry in Washington D.C. working at The Folger Theatre, making shoes, boots and brass armor from scratch for Richard III. While studying acting in D.C., she worked in theatre production, from props to associate producer .She staged-managed a play in D.C. that took her to New York City. Her first assistant positions in the world of casting were with Joy Todd and Bonnie Timmermann, before she went out on her own. After years of casting theatre in NYC, Ronnie made her way to LA where she became the casting director for the LA THEATRE CENTER. Some of her favorite Films and TV projects have included THE MARRYING MAN, PULP FICTION, RESERVOIR DOGS, L.A.
